ADVERTISEMENTS:

Dr. Sarvapalli Radakrishnan told his country men to celebrate his birthday as a teacher’s day. So, since the year 1962, the 5 September is always celebrated as teacher’s day.

Mother is always the first teacher for the child; the next one is the teacher who teaches us. According to Baghvadgitha the teacher is considered as God.

Since from the childhood there are many teachers who molded our nature. Teacher is the only one who prepares us to become better citizens of tomorrow. Teacher is the only one who is remembered throughout the life. The impression of the teacher is very deep and loving.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

Teacher’s day highlights the role of teacher in our society unlike other professions; teacher exerts a tremendous influence upon the society. It is in there hands to create or destroy the future of our land.

In our school we celebrate teacher’s day very grandly. On that day students give garlands, flowers and surprising gifts e.t.c to their teachers.

On teachers day students sing songs, dance and even do skits for the teachers.

The captain of our school gives the speech about the significance of the teacher’s day and awards are also given to the good teachers to encourage them.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

At last the principal of our school encourages all the students of the school with good wishes and blessings. In the lunch hours the students offer their teachers with some snacks, and tea and thus we celebrate it as the teacher’s day.

The teacher student’s relationship is not divine as it was before, many changes have taken place; a teacher is no longer a selfless guru. The teacher’s are the payed employee, just like any other worker working in an office or a factory. Nowadays the importance of a teacher is declining due to favoritism.

In the pat times the teacher used to punish the students and there was a meaning. But now everything is reversed. It is difficult to expect the society to honor the teachers.

At present it is necessary for the teachers to overcome these problems and to uphold their own dignity. But we as the students should know the importance of teacher’s day and should respect them. I once again wish all my teachers a happy teacher’s day.
