I am Hema Agarwal. I am studying in std. VI in Saraswati Vidyalaya. About my school? Well, it is a temple to me. Our school is 125 years old, a prestigious institution where many eminent persons had studied. It has a total strength of 780 students studying from LKG to Plus 2.
Some children hate going to school. It happens mostly on Mondays, being the first day after the weekly holiday. Many fake sickness to escape schooling, saying that they have stomach ache or head ache. I call it as ‘Monday Melody!’
But none of us in our school ever feel so. To us, going to school is a joy, because that is how the teachers made us feel about it. All our teachers are kind, at the same time strict with us. Although they never resorted to corporal punishment, they made us pay the price otherwise.

To cite an example, if a student did not do the home work, the teacher never scolded that child. Instead, such erring students faced detention classes. That is, after the closing bell rang, the erring students will be detained in the class and asked to do the pending homework, which he/ she had not done the previous day!
It is indeed a novel corrective action in our school. When watching the others leave making hay, these erring students who had to stay back feel sorry for their act. Thus, fearing die detention class, all of us promptly do our home work.
Our school has all the infrastructures: A big library, Science Lab, Computer section, Two play grounds, Fans in every class room, Neatly swept rooms, Spacious corridors, Bathrooms, Tiffin shed where we all take our lunch, Cycle stand with shelter, An auditorium where we celebrate die annual day, nice and kind teachers, First-aid centre and a Garden. The students here are kind and friendly.

Besides, none of our school students carry bulky school bag. This is because there is a strict order that the students should bring in books and note books only as per the time table on that clay.
No one is permitted to carry extra reading materials. And only one subject home work is given per day. There is a time table lord home work too! The concept is to enable the children to play for some time in die evening which is long forgotten nowadays among all school children!
What is special is that, we have a unique curriculum: safety classes once a week!
We are taught about safety aspects at home and outside. It comprises of Road safety, Electrical safety, etc. In a nut shell, my school has no parallel. I am proud to be a student of this school.

However, die thought that we have to shift, makes me feel sad to leave such a fine school. But my parents, who understood my sentiment, have told me that I can continue by staying in the school hostel. How nice!
