207 words short essay on Annual Day for kids. I am a student of Summer Villa School, Delhi. Every year the Annual Day is celebrated in the month of March, but this year it was celebrated in August.
A new block had been constructed in our school. The inaugural function of the block was also organized on the same day.

The Education Director had agreed to preside over the function and his wife, to give away the prizes. When they arrived, a guard of honor was given by the scouts and guides.
The function started with a prayer sung by the students. The Principal, along with the President of the Managing Board, welcomed the chief guest. The Chief Guest addressed the students and spoke a few words of encouragement. The Annual Report was read. After that, the prizes were given away.

Then the President and the Principal got down from the stage and took their seats in the auditorium. A brief but colorful variety programme was presented that evening. The gypsy dance and the skit, ‘Cobbler Turned Doctor’, were most appreciated.
The last item on the agenda was the National Anthem followed by the announcement by the Principal that the following day would be observed as a holiday. It was a very welcome announcement for us.
